Our no 1 shuttler Lee Chong Wei was being reported to have early-stage nose cancer and he is now being treated in Taiwan. Rumours and speculations had been spreading about his health among the national team ever since he stopped turning up for training in July and not only that, the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) also announced that he was pulling out of the World Championship and Asian Games.

Lee Chong Wei had travelled to Taiwan to seek treatments but officials decided to keep quiet about what he was suffering from. In the statement made by the BAM president, Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria said, Lee Chong Wei has been diagnosed with early-stage nose cancer and he is responding well to his treatment and currently resting and recuperating with his family and close friends. Ever since the news about his health is being talked all over the media, fans from both local and international, politicians and even industry players are praying for his health and for him to be back in court. Speedy recovery champ! We can’t wait to see you back and make us proud like you always did!
